WORLD WIDE
WALLS QATAR
In late 2023, as part of the Qatar–Indonesia Year of Culture, Herzven was selected as the sole Southeast Asian artist invited to participate in the World Wide Walls international mural festival, hosted in Doha’s Mina District by Qatar Museums.
Over a week-long collaboration (26 November to 2 December), he transformed a public façade into a visually striking mural titled Nesternity—a composition inspired by Doha’s architecture, its warmth and vibrancy, and cultural motifs such as the hoopoe bird, spiritual “mask” symbolism, the Barong from Indonesian mythology, and elements of land and sea Qatar Museums. The result is a vivid fusion that celebrates cross-cultural unity while showcasing his bold, mythopoetic style. As both a statement of identity and a gesture of cultural dialogue, this mural stands as a vibrant milestone in Herzven’s evolving international practice.
